What this study is about

This trial is testing a new way to see vaso-occlusion, which is blood vessel blockage, in people with sickle cell disease. The goal is to find objective markers for VOC using positron emission tomography (PET). This will help improve patient care by showing when and how VOCs occur, as well as aid future drug research.

Simplified from trial records by PatientMatch.
