What this study is about

Researchers are testing if lung volume affects how well your throat opens during a drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE). Participants will have a DISE performed as part of their routine surgical evaluation for OSA. The trial will involve using a ventilator to change lung volumes or stimulating the phrenic nerve to improve lung function and see if it helps with throat collapse.

Simplified from trial records by PatientMatch.

What you may be asked to do

  • 1.Use Negative Pressure Ventilator
  • 2.Use Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
  • 3.Use Transcutaneous Phrenic Nerve Stimulation
