Researchers are testing a mindfulness program called VA CALM, developed for Veterans with spinal cord injuries (SCI), to help them cope with chronic pain. The trial will involve delivering the unmodified curriculum first and then using virtual reality to make it more accessible.

Primary: Pain Acceptance- Chronic Pain Acceptance Questionnaire-Revised (CPAQ-R), Pain Catastrophizing- Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS), Pain Interference- PROMIS-Pain Interference (PROMIS-PI, SF8a), Pain- PROMIS-Pain Numeric Rating Scale (NRS)

Secondary: Anxiety- Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), Depression- Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Quality of Life- World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief (WHOQOL-BREF)
